DES MOINES, IA - Aviva Investors said it has completed the purchase of River Road Asset Management, a Louisville, KY, equity manager that will now form part of Aviva Investors North America.

The agreement to purchase River Road was announced on Jan. 5, 2010.

Alain Dromer, chief executive of Aviva Investors, the investment management business of Aviva plc, said, "The addition of River Road's equity expertise to our existing fixed income capabilities is a significant step in the development of our business in North America."

River Road will continue to be based in Louisville. (IAM News)
